Sambas. intankalimantan.org – The Kalimantan Forest Products Technology Research and Development Institute (Intan Kalimantan) coordinates with the Sambas Food and Drug Control Centre (Loka POM Sambas). Located on Tabrani street, Durian village, Sambas sub-district, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan, Monday, October 14th, 2024.
Director of Intan Kalimantan, Deman Huri, accompanied by senior research staff, Juandi, explained that the visit to the Loka POM Sambas office was the umpteenth consultation. The aim is for Tengkawang processed products to receive a license from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (Badan POM).
“Based on Food and Drug Supervisory Agency Regulation number 19 of 2023 (Peraturan BPOM 19/2023) concerning the organization and work procedures of the technical implementation unit at the food and drug supervisory agency, the Loka POM Sambas Regency is the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) BPOM. That is, the work unit is independent, carrying out certain operational technical tasks and/or certain supporting technical tasks in the field of drug and food control,” said Deman Huri.
He explained that the position of the Balai POM in Sambas Regency is under and responsible to the Head of the Balai POM, led by a head, technically supervised by deputies, and administratively supervised by the Main Secretary.
“The Loka POM Sambas location in Sambas Regency is categorized as a UPT Badan POM. Catchment area of the UPT Badan POM consists of two regencies, Sambas and Bengkayang,” said Deman Huri.
He explained Intan Kalimantan was met by the Loka POM Sambas Testing Section, Nazmul Asri S.Si. Then the Import Certificate, Export Certificate, Permit for Implementing Good Processed Food Production Methods (CPPOB), Certification of Good Medicine Distribution Methods (CDOB), Certificate of Fulfilment of Aspects of Good Traditional Medicine Manufacturing Methods (CPOTB) of the Loka POM Sambas, Nanda Siska Yasinta ST.
“Currently, the Loka POM Sambas is led by Agus Wahyudi S.Si Apt. Before serving in Sambas, he served in Manokwari (West Papua) and Tarakan (North Kalimantan),” explained Deman Huri. (mah)
